Daphne passed as the result of a car accident during our senior year Christmas break. Daphne was 17 years old. Daphne ran track, and served on the cheerlead squad. I knew her as being a quiet young lady. I believe she was in my chemistry class with Mr. Matthews during our sophomore year at Velt. At the time of her passing, Daphne was survived by her father, 1 brother, 1 sister, maternal grandfather, maternal grandmother, 6 aunts, 8 uncles, many other relatives and friends.
